I am Enrique Chumbes, a system engineer and author of this blog.   At the onset of the personal computer revolution, I was an undergraduate at the University of Chicago studying History.   My career in IT began in 1994 teaching inner city students how to use the latest software and hardware. Almost twenty years later, I continue to serve as a technician, trainer and adviser only now my students work in government, nonprofit and corporate sectors.  I am currently a System Engineer with experience and expertise in SharePoint, SCOM and Active Directory.  This blog will consist my IT musings and recommendations based upon the past and current issues I have encountered.

In addition to a Bachelors degree from the University of Chicago, I hold a Master’s degree from City University of New York.  I am a member of the Baltimore SharePoint User Group, and I am an avid movie, comic and basketball memorabilia collector.  I currently reside in Baltimore, MD with my wife, son and daughter.
